WENDY – OWNER
As a child growing up in Maryland, Wendy knew at an early age she was destine to make her mark
in the world by improving the way women see themselves. Wendy graduated from Ron Thomas
School of Cosmetology. She has been an active hairstylist for more then 20 years and she
continues to keep up with the latest hair tends and techniques. Wendy specialty is precision cut,
highlights and hair care. She enjoys spending time with her husband, three children and mother.
W. TA’NIKKI GRAHAM
Nikki is a Baltimore native who has loved the art of hair styling from an early age. Nikki was
introduced to the crafty by her aunt who was a platform artist for Soft Sheen products in the late
70’s and into the early 80’s . By the late 80’s Nikki began to cultivate her skills and started
perfecting her craft within her home. After graduating from high school she went on to complete
cosmetology school and began her career at Candi’s Creative Sensations in downtown Baltimore.
When the salon closed she longed to find another salon to call home. During that period she left
the field for a few years, only to discover her passion as a stylist never died. Nikki re-entered the
field to fulfill her dreams while working at several salons, until she found her true fit at Studio 97
Hair Care Inc. Nikki specialty is short and sassy cuts, but her ability to bring out the individual diva
in each client is her true gift.
CHRISTINA R. SMALL
Christina is a Baltimore, Maryland native. Christina knew at the tender age of four what she
wanted to do as a young woman. She just did not know how to get there. Thanks to her
education in the Baltimore City Public School system (and a young man who would later become
her husband, she decided in 2006 to follow her dream to become a cosmetologist. She attended
the well-known Baltimore Studio of Hair Design, where she was taught by the illustrious Mr.
Herman Jackson. Her teachers trained her to home in on her skill and rest flowed like a river.
Christina finished cosmetology school in one year, on a two year program. She passed her exam
the first time and started her career immediately. Christina exposed herself to three hair shows,
which fortified her confidence into becoming the type of stylist she wanted to become. She has
worked with many stylist, adjusting her skills to fit her creativity. Christina’s specialty is natural hair
care, from braiding to loc maintenance. She also provides premium services, such as, hair cuts
for men and makeup artistry.
Christina resides in the Pikeville community with her husband and daughter, Faith.
Hello All! My name is Cheri Powell and I’m a licensed cosmetologist. Cheri attended Western Vo-
Tech in Baltimore County where she began to study the art of cosmetology. Initially she did not
she think that she was cut out to be a stylist, so she discontinue her studies. As time passed and
as her dissatisfaction with current career, she decided to give cosmetology another try. Cheri
enrolled in Maryland Beauty Academy in Reisterstown, Md., and after 2 years of intense clinical
and theory training she graduated and received her license shortly after. Cheri has been a gifted
stylist for 3 years and profess that this is the best life decision she has ever made. She is
regarded as one of the top stylist at Studio 97, because of her passion for the craft and most of all
her love for her clients. Cheri has a “client first” attitude. When they sit in her chair her ultimate
goal is to cater to their hair care needs and wants. Cheri believes her greatest accomplishment is
when a client is completely satisfied and will say “see you in 2 weeks”, then she knows she has
fulfilled their desire, that is why she says: “ Hello my name is Cheri and I’m a Beautician”
